Late medieval / early Renaissance slide trumpet

Using a bell based on the Billingsgate trumpet in the Museum of London (see "Busine"), this is my take on a probable slide trumpet for music of the fifteenth century, developed over more than a decade of historical study, experimentation, and performing experience. The sound is bright and clear, and harmonizes well with shawms. The instrument's extremely light weight makes it quite nimble - a crucial factor for this type of instrument! A short tuning slide is integrated into the bell joint.

The decoration combines elements of the Billingsgate and Guitbert trumpets, along with iconography and a bit of my own creativity in the spirit of 15th-century silversmithing.

Tuning: D at A=466 / C at A=523, or a tone higher. Other pitches upon request

Specifications: bore: 10.3mm, bell 78mm.
